Lifetime to Celebrate International Day of Older Persons with Community Health and Wellbeing Event

Healthy Ageing, Stronger Communities, Better Wellbeing

Lifetime is pleased to announce the return of its popular older people’s wellbeing event, Healthy Ageing, Stronger Communities, Better Wellbeing, taking place on Thursday 1 October 2026 to mark International Day of Older Persons.

Following the success of last year’s Celebration of Ageing Well Event, which welcomed more than 200 attendees, this year’s event will bring together a wide range of health, wellbeing, and support services from across Warrington, all under one roof.

The event aims to help older people access information, advice, and practical support to maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak to local organisations, discover services available in their area, and learn more about living well in later life.

Andrea Rees, Lifetime Officer, said:

“International Day of Older Persons is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution older people make to our communities. Through this event, we want to ensure that older adults across Warrington have access to the information, support, and services that can help them stay healthy, connected, and independent for longer.”

The event will offer information on a variety of topics including physical health, mental wellbeing, independent living, support services, and opportunities to stay active and engaged within the local community.
