Staying Safe During the Extreme Heat-25 June 2026

Important Update

We would like to reassure everyone that our facilities remain open and available to visitors. To help keep everyone comfortable during the current spell of hot weather, our rooms are being kept cool with air conditioning and fans where available.

While we are pleased to welcome you, your health and safety remain our top priority. The current temperatures can present significant health risks, particularly for older adults, people with underlying health conditions, and those spending extended periods outdoors.

If you are planning to visit, we encourage you to take the following precautions:

Avoid the Hottest Part of the Day

Where possible, stay indoors during the midday and early afternoon period when temperatures are at their highest.

Plan Your Journey Carefully

Consider travelling during the cooler morning or evening hours to reduce your exposure to the heat.

Keep Hydrated

Bring a bottle of water with you, drink regularly throughout the day, and take breaks when needed.

Put Your Wellbeing First

If you are feeling unwell or concerned about travelling in the heat, please do not take any risks. Your health is more important than attending an activity.

We look forward to welcoming you, but most importantly, we want you to stay safe, comfortable, and well during this period of extreme weather.

Please take care of yourself and check in on family, friends, and neighbours who may need extra support during the heatwave. ☀️
