Loneliness Awareness Week: Connecting Through Orange Wednesday

Loneliness can affect anyone, at any stage of life—but getting older doesn’t mean life has to become lonely. This Loneliness Awareness Week, Lifetime is proud to support the Marmalade Trust with a simple but powerful idea: creating space for connection.

On Wednesday 17th June, we’re hosting “Orange Wednesday” – Share an Orange Day 2026 in the heart of the Gateway. It’s an opportunity to pause, take 30 minutes, and connect with someone new.

🍊 Pair up.
🍊 Slice an orange.
🍊 Start a conversation.

Sometimes, it really is that simple. A small moment of connection can make a big difference.

💬 What Does Loneliness Feel Like To You?

Loneliness isn’t always obvious. It can be quiet, hidden, and different for everyone. By creating a space to talk, listen, and reflect together, we can help break the stigma and remind each other that we’re not alone.

Orange Wednesday is about more than just sharing fruit—it’s about sharing experiences, understanding, and connection.
